BSPAC is an independent editorial platform covering UK public affairs from a British Somali perspective. We are not a representative body, a charity or a campaign, and we do not claim to speak for all British Somalis, a community as varied in its views as any other. We cover politics, policing and justice, the economy, education, health, housing, and identity and society, and the wider world only where it touches British Somali lives. We write anonymously so that the work is judged on its evidence, not its authors. We source and date every statistic, correct errors promptly and in public, and endorse no party or candidate. Our solidarity is never selective: we stand against hatred directed at any community.

Our mission

To publish rigorous, independent analysis of UK public affairs through a British Somali lens, so that a community present in Britain for more than a century is informed, heard and fairly represented in national debate.
